Leadership development consultations

Create a personal leadership development plan or get help navigating the available offers to find what's right for you.

What are leadership development consultations?

Leadership development consultations are short 30-minute online conversations with a Senior Researcher Developer to create a unique training and development plan for research leadership to suit your needs, or to help you navigate available training offers.

The consultations will:

  • help you identify what your key training and development needs are for research leadership;
  • make suggestions for what support, guidance or training might be relevant to your specific needs;
  • provide a follow up email with a list of resources, training and development opportunities identified;
  • support you to create a unique development plan for research leadership.

The consultations will not:

  • provide advice on specific funding, funding applications or promotions.

Who is it for?

The consultations are available to current University of Edinburgh research leaders and Principal Investigators, or those who are about to step into a research leadership role for the first time. External researchers are not eligible.

To book a 30-min online consultation, please book a time with Emily Woollen via the booker link below. Consultations are available Monday afternoons. Please note this is only available to current University of Edinburgh research and academic staff.
