Biography

Darcey Gillie joined the Researcher Development team in June 2023. A qualified and experienced careers consultant, she has 15 years’ experience supporting researchers at every stage of their career.  An important part of Darcey’s remit is engaging with employers in order to highlight to research staff the diverse array of career options available to them. 

Darcey also runs hers own freelance careers and training consultancy, working as a careers consultant and trainer in universities all over the UK, as well as undertaking private client work.  She is a freelance trainer for the Graduate Futures Institute (GFI) designing and facilitating training on Introduction to Guidance Interviewing, Writing for Impact, and the Challenges of Working in HE.
