Data management for your research What you'll do Research Data Management (RDM) is a crucial part of ensuring the reproducibility of your research, but it can be difficult to know how to begin. This workshop will introduce researchers to the basic principles of RDM and why it is so important to manage your research data well, and it will sign-post you to all of the other training and support available to help you with all aspects of RDM. Why attend Whether you are preparing for your first research project or have managed many before, this workshop is ideal for helping you understand how to manage your data and where to access support when needed. What we'll cover this course will focus on: Why should I manage my research data? What is FAIR Data? Data Management Planning Key stages of RDM Support and Training After this workshop participants will be able to: recognize the importance of RDM and Data Management Planning, apply basic RDM skills to their daily research practices, Understand what the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) principles mean and why they matter, Know where to find support, and training within the university.
