Biography

Emily Shipp works at the overlap of research and practice on the psychology of prospection – of how we imagine and plan for the future. 

She is an Associate at the Edinburgh Futures Institute and works in practice with industries on long-term planning and decision making amidst uncertainty. 

The CoGIF project – Creating the Conditions for Generative Research Futures – was an InFrame Culture Catalyst project exploring the place of futures methods in research cultures, developed in partnership with Professor Sarah Kettley at the Edinburgh College of Art and Steve Earl, Head of Foresight at the Edinburgh Futures Institute.
