Biography

Emily is an experienced trainer, facilitator, and certified coach with over a decade of experience across academia, research, and Higher Education. She specialises in research leadership development, leadership coaching, and supporting researchers in interdisciplinary research contexts. She is passionate about cultivating research environments that empower researchers to conduct outstanding research and fulfil their potential as research leaders, developing and supporting individuals and teams to thrive. 

She has a research background in Environmental Sciences, completing a PhD and several years as a postdoc at University of Edinburgh, where after she moved into the Researcher Development team in 2018. She has since gained professional accreditation for her learning and teaching experience (SFHEA) and is an accredited coach and member of the Association for Coaching. She currently leads on the design and implementation of training and development for Principal Investigators and research leaders at the University of Edinburgh.
