Research Cultures Forum - September 2026

Join the Research Cultures Forum (RCF) session for a conversation with Kerry Miller (Research Data Support Officer) and Nel Coleman (Library Citizen Science Engagement Officer).

Kerry will introduce the new Open Research (OR) Action Plan which will determine OR aims and objectives until 2030, then discuss what has been achieved so far, and some of the key work which is currently ongoing and how both researchers and professional services staff can get involved.

Nel (they/them) will introduce Outwith: Participatory Research and the Library and how their collaborations with research projects are being turned into more widespread support for participatory research methods in general; producing outputs like training modules, Field Guides, and events designed to encourage and enhance transdisciplinary collaboration and peer support. RCF is open to anyone at the University with an interest in research cultures. It serves as a platform for members from across Colleges, Schools, and support services to engage in meaningful dialogue and help shape the University's research cultures strategies, approaches, plans, and policies.
