The University of Edinburgh meets the European Commission’s Horizon Europe requirements for an organisational Gender Equality Plan (GEP) through the work of our Gender Equality Subcommittee. The Gender Equality Subcommittee - a thematic committee of the University Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Committee (EDIC) - has developed an ambitious action plan, approved by the University Executive, to extend the work to deliver on our strategic equality outcomes, and to close our gender pay gap. The University of Edinburgh has been a proud holder of an Institutional Athena Swan award since 2006, and a Silver Award since 2015.
