NIHR Research Professorships receive up to £2 million over five years. They are open to clinical or non-clinical researchers with an outstanding record of public health, health or care research.

The Global Research Professorships scheme supports any field of applied global health and care research for the direct and primary benefit of people living in one or more ODA-eligible country/ies. This call is open to applicants from both LMICs and the UK.

Each award will consist of a package to support the Professorship which includes academic support posts, research running costs, a travel fund, a leadership and development programme, including access to the NIHR Leadership Programme, the opportunity to request a sabbatical, institutional capacity strengthening and the basic salary costs (plus indirect costs, for the host organisation) of the individual.

Successful candidates will be notified by Friday 8 November 2024.
