The Royal Society Wolfson Fellowship schemes are currently open to applications (2025 round 1) and will close at 3pm Wednesday 6 November 2024.

Research must be within the Royal Society’s remit of natural sciences, which includes but is not limited to biological research, chemistry, engineering, mathematics and physics, please view the breakdown of subject groups and areas supported by the Royal Society.

Schools have been asked to nominate candidates by Monday 21 October 2024 at the latest.

Next steps for external applicants:

Applications are submitted by schools and all applicants must liaise with their relevant University of Edinburgh School Research Office as soon as possible for all queries.
