British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowships 2024. Apply to be hosted by the University of Edinburgh.

The British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship is a three-year fellowship for outstanding early career researchers in the humanities and social sciences to strengthen their experience of research and teaching in a university environment, allowing them to develop their CV and improve their prospects of obtaining permanent academic posts by the end of the fellowship.  It focuses on the completion of a significant piece of publishable research and on the integration of the award’s holder into the community of established scholars within their field.

The BA Postdoctoral Fellowship application deadline date is 2 October 2024 at 17:00 UK time.

Information event: British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowships | 5 September 2024

Edinburgh Research Office (ERO) is running an online information session on 5 September 2024 at 14:00 - 15:30.

This event is hosted by Emma Giles, Senior Research Funding Specialist and Jochen Mayer, Research Funding Specialist, who will provide a detailed overview of the British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowships scheme and application process.

Event attendees will also have the opportunity to hear from British Academy Postdoctoral Fellows - Dr Emily Ward, Dr Taylor Aucoin, and Dr Benedetta Catanzariti.

This event is aimed at those applying to this year’s call, however it will also be of use for anyone who would like to find out more with a view to applying in 2025.
