These prestigious fellowships are aimed at early career post-doctoral researchers, who have been awarded their PhD in the last four years, from all branches of engineering.

The scheme's objectives are to:

• support the best early-career researchers in establishing their independence and international reputation
• provide long-term support enabling the pursuit of an ambitious programme of engineering research and impact
• develop ambassadors for the Academy and advocates for STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) disciplines

University of Edinburgh Internal selection process

The University of Edinburgh runs an internal selection process facilitated by the College of Science and Engineering for this call. 

Schools also have an internal review process to identify candidates and will submit their selected candidates to the College for consideration by 10am, Monday 31 July 2023.

Next steps for applicants

All interested candidates must consult with their relevant Head of School, as soon as possible, to discuss both the potential submission of an application and the securing of the required School support, which is required at the time of College submission.
