Financial Conflict of Interest refers to a framework of financial disclosure and reporting requirements imposed by United States Federal regulations with the aim of ensuring objectivity in research. 

The Financial Conflict of Interest regulations impose requirements on Investigators applying for, and participating in, grants, cooperative agreements and research contracts funded by the US Public Health Service (“PHS”). There are also requirements applying to the institutions they work for.
