The University of Edinburgh has supported a major investment in developing research talent through two main routes, the Edinburgh Career Development Scheme and Chancellor’s Fellowships. A call for the second wave of Chancellor’s Fellows will be launched in in June 2023. To complement the Chancellor’s Fellows recruitment, the Edinburgh Career Development Scheme aims to support earlier career fellows in launching their research career. This scheme will include: targeted postdoctoral opportunities for under-represented groups; a new Innovation Fellowships scheme, to support early career researchers with commercialising and/or building industry partnerships from their research. The Innovation Fellowship scheme will be launched in the next few weeks. Updates on these opportunities will be listed on the Developing Research Talent webpage.
