MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship Proposal Workshop

About the event

This webinar will provide an overview of the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship scheme, how the University of Edinburgh can support you throughout the application process, and in-depth proposal writing prompts and advice. There are two interactive sessions where you will hear from current Edinburgh-based MSCA fellows and supervisors during which you can ask questions. The webinar is aimed at prospective applicants and their supervisors with the University of Edinburgh as host.   

The workshop will take place via MS Teams webinar on 11 June from 09:30-16:00.

The workshop is run jointly by Dr Elisabetta Spano (Edinburgh Research Office) and Dr Anna Pilz (Institute for Academic Development and MSCA alumna).  

About the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme

This fellowship scheme is funded by the European Union under Horizon Europe and aims to support researchers in the acquisition of new skills, the development of international networks, and cross-sector experience through short-term secondments and placements.   

The funding enables researchers with outstanding potential to develop their research and career trajectory.   

What will I learn?

By the end of this event, workshop participants will: 

  • understand the aim and purpose of the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme;   
  • be familiar with the application form and process;  
  • understand key characteristics of a successful application;  
  • identify relevant resources and available support.
